Illustrated Letters

For my Letter Form Design class, we were assigned to pick our favorite quote or phrase and illustrate it in a way that best fits the chosen text. I chose "Let's Fight Crime with Mangoes & Limes," a song lyric from the band Motion City Soundtrack. Since this quote is fairly bizarre and silly, I decided to illustrate it with a mash-up of random drawings to further push the strangeness and humor of the quote. By using varying sizes of technical pens, I could achieve a high level of detail within my illustrations.
